I love World Book Day. Especially this year – my kids are learning to read and it’s bloomin’ wonderful seeing their little minds soak up new words and stories and worlds. I love how excited they get choosing which book to take into school.

I’m an International Women’s Day skeptic. And I approached it this week with extra trepidation – would the International Women’s Day website (not affiliated to the UN) finally read the room this year, of all years?

I’m trying to write more here about issues that affect me and my profession, without alienating potential clients with rants about, well, the patriarchy usually. (Why yes, I *am* a Gen X intersectional feminist stereotype!) So this morning’s rage is for all the working parents out there.

Lately I’ve been experimenting with different types of writing and seeing and reading and thinking. So this might be the first in a series of posts… possibly. Or it might be a ‘felt cute might delete later’ sort of thing…

I’m getting offline for the summer holidays! For a social media detox, a change of perspective… and to focus on splitting my time between work and my wonderful little whirlwinds.
